What are EDIT Collaborations? The idea of partnering with local designers was born at the end of 2019. Making locally produced rugs was one thing, but as a brand, we wanted to adapt so that our designs reflected the same homegrown ethos.

Every member of our team put forward a few artists who they felt would share in our vision. And Bonolo Chepape was a firm favourite. We were blown away by her iconic style and have loved every moment working with her.

There's no talent that we'd rather be joining forces with than Bonolo Helen Chepape (founder of Lulasclan). "I believe in the journey, because that's where true magic lies." ... the wise words of this uber talented 28 year old Textile designer. This is a sentiment that Airloom shares, and the journey we've travelled with Bonolo in creating our first EDIT Collaboration has reflected this very notion.

Our Bonolo EDIT collection is bright, bold and playful... a set of unique rugs that depict African design in a new way, a story behind every design.
